UK Toy Sightings

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called UK Toy Sightings.

Thanks to Phill for posting the following toy sightings on our message board.

\"Edinburgh Forbidden Planet had the Deluxe and Leader classes of the Hunt for the Decepticons in. Leaders were £44.99 and Deluxes were £12.99. Starscream looks a lot better than the Voyager one.

On another note I spoke to someone in Tesco, and they said that if there\'s no Generations in the catalogue, then they\'re unlikely to get them in the store. Also was told that they\'re likely to only have 3 HftD Voyagers in between now and Christmas as the catalogue only says 3 to collect. So that\'s Seaspray, Payload and the redeco Ratchet.

More large scale Allspark Almanac images from Bill Fortster

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called More large scale Allspark Almanac images from Bill Fortster.

Not only content with updating his blog with his own material Jim Sorenson has posted a blog letting everyone know that his \"esteemed colleague\" and quite frankly all-round \"awesome dude\" (ask anyone that met the pair of them at Auto Assembly 2010) Bill Forster has updated his Deviant Art gallery with yet more of his original artwork from The AllSpark Almanac II.    Here\'s the low-down from Jim on the updates that Bill posted

This time around, he\'s uploaded our Reverse-Pretender alter-egos, Octus and Megadeath, some heads from the Great War like Moonradar and Gigatron (a.k.a. RID Megatron, Animated style), some Maccadam\'s heads like the adorable Clipper, and more.

I think my favorite might be
Skids.  While, obviously, it was movie-style Skids that inspired the design, the idea that he\'d be infested with brain parasites came from G1 Skids, where he spent well over 100 UK issues in limbo after Galvatron time-displaced him there.  I thought it funny to include this element, but with the much uglier RotF Skids.

Swing by, let Bill know what you think of his work!

TF Prime Concept Artist Ken Christiansen updates his blog

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called TF Prime Concept Artist Ken Christiansen updates his blog.

Ken Christiansen has updated his blog with some designed of Transformers Bumblebee, Jazz and Inferno which are alternative ideas from Transformers Prime,

Mr Christiansen is working as a concept artist on Transformers Primeand has previously worked on Activisions Transformers: The Game and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen computer games.

\"Yes I did work on Transformers : Prime. No, these images (Click on the Title Bar to see) are NOT from that work. You have to wait until October to see those...

But, now that some of those images are starting to come out, I wanted to try to do some studies to match the official style. Just really rough at this point, trying to find some of the basics.

Obviously, TFP Bumblebee is based on the movie Camaro, so I wanted to try a pass with him as the Beetle, and how that old vehicle form could break up in new ways. Then I took a crack at Jazz (I don\'t know if there\'s any TF/Prime images of him out, and I honestly don\'t know if he\'s in the lineup for the show - I didn\'t work on him, in any case) and based him on more of the TF:Animated styling. And then for fun, I just picked a random Autobot, and did Inferno. He was the last one I did, and I think I started to capture some of the TFP looks...

Tomorrow, some Decepts...\"

Transformers ionstruction sheet section now online

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Transformers ionstruction sheet section now online.

Due to the recent buzz surrounding Hasbro\'s instruction sheet archive we have decided to port a feature of the next incarnation of Transformers At The Moon, what will be version 9) into the current live site.  The feature is the \"Hasbro Instruction Sheet Area\".  This area is very similar to our Hasbro Trademark area in as much as the information is a mirror of external data but in a format that makes it much easier to navigate.  We rigorously check for both new trademark applications as well as Hasbro instruction sheets, though until now this project has been under-wraps, meaning that Transformers At The Moon will be able to bring you not only the latest trademark application first but also the latest Transformers Instruction Sheet news first as well.

You can browse the PDF files based on their Hasbro given names as well as by the publication date, meaning its even easier to find out when Hasbro publish new entries.  Any new entries will also be covered as news stories to ensure that everyone is made aware.

Currently the section contains 711 pdf instruction sheets.

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Auto Assembly 2010 Images now online.

We have uploaded the photographs that we took during Auto Assembly 2010 to the website now, though we have not added a review of the weekend\'s events.  Since we were more involved with helping out this year the gallery is not as comprehensive as our normal convention images but it does include a look at our Japanese Transformers display.

For those that wonder the photograph with Derrick and two people is not Derrick with both of us us, but is Derrick Wyatt with Quartz (Steve) and Duh Pres (Billy) as Moonbug was taking the photograph.

The gallery ends with a couple of images showing the items we purchased during the event, but we will add a more detailed review later,

Auto Assembly 2010 - Thanks to everyone

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Auto Assembly 2010 - Thanks to everyone.

Well folks Auto Assembly 2010 is officially over and yet for many today will be the last post-AA day as they chill at the hotel and say good bye to the guests and fellow attendees.  Sadly, due to work commitments, we had to leave late last night for the drive home.

I\'d like to start of by saying thank you to Simon, his wife Trish and daughter Hannah for organising what was once again Europe\'s largest Transformers Convention.  I\'m not sure on the final numbers but when I was last on the registration desk we were up to 578 attendees.

I\'d like to thank all of the guest who were as entertaining as always and all probably have RSI from all the signings they did over the weekend.  On a personal note I would like to extend a massive thank you once again to Derrick J Wyatt, Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster for agreeing to come over to the event.  They all loved it and it certainly appeared to be mutual from everyone in attendance.

I hope everyone had a great time at the convention and had, or will have, a safe journey back home.

On a feedback note what did you all make of Auto Assembly 2010?  Did you like the toy display that we put on this year? How about those custom Mighty Muggs that we were showing?  How awesome were those? (A massive thanks to Minion for making them).
