Leonard Nimoy joins Transformers: Dark of the Moon voice cast

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Leonard Nimoy joins Transformers: Dark of the Moon voice cast.

Entertainment Weekly.com has posted an article by Anthony Breznican that announced that Leonard Nimoy has joined the cast of Transformers Dark of the Moon and will voice Sentinel Prime.

\"Mr. Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy, has joined the film as the voice of Sentinel Prime, the predecessor of Optimus Prime whose wrecked body is seen in the teaser trailer, found crash-landed on the moon by the Apollo 11 astronauts in 1969. Later, after being brought to earth, he takes the disguise form of a fire engine in the movie’s massive, climactic battle through Chicago.

Apart from his obvious Star Trek cred, Nimoy also has a history with Hasbro’s shape-shifting alien robots: He was the voice of Galvatron in 1986′s TheTransformers: The Movie.

Transformers filmmaker Michael Bay had toyed with the idea of inviting him to play a voice in the second movie, Revenge of the Fallen, but wasn’t sure he could pay the veteran actor enough. “I was too scared to ask him,” the director says. “Plus, he’s married to Susan Bay, who’s a cousin of mine. So I had to be careful. I’ve met him at family functions. But he told me, ‘I would be honored. I’m glad to be back!’”\"

Generations Warpath review - Kapow Toys

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Generations Warpath review - Kapow Toys.

Kapow Toys have posted some images and review of Transformers Generations Warpath.  We pre-ordered outs from them, and am looking forward to it\'s arrival.

Generations Warpath

Also uploaded to the blog here for bigger images - http://kapowtoys.blogspot.com/2011/0...s-warpath.html

Kinda sad he is the last for a while but damn is he an awesome one!

His tank mode blatantly looks like the HALO scorpion which is no bad thing, he has the usual tiny wheels built into the solid treads and rolls freely, the turret also pivots nice and smooth with the 2 flip out cannons nicely settled to the rear.

In bot mode he has a great range of articulation and feels really solid, the transformation is nice and easy with the only complaint being the length of the missle trailing out from his back, this can easily be fixed with some wire cutters and sandpaper if desired.

Overall 9/10 - heres hoping Generations isnt on hiatus for too long, I need more geewun style goodness!

Ark Addendum: Crosshairs, TRANSFORM!

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Ark Addendum: Crosshairs, TRANSFORM!.

Jim Sorenson has updated his blog with another Ark Addendum, this time entitled Crosshairs, TRANSFORM!

The entry focuses on the transformation sequence of Autobot Targetmaster Crosshairs and his targetmaster partner Pinpointer (Pointech in Japan).  Here\'s Jim to tell you a little about it.

\"Today I\'m feeling like getting away from the Sunbow cartoon and dancing over to Japan.  We haven\'t done a Transform sequence in a while, so how about... Crosshairs!

One thing that\'s a bit odd about the sequence is how we see his Targetmaster fly away from him in the second step... but then Pinpointer (or Pointech, if you\'re feeling the Japanese love) isn\'t on the model in step one.  Whoops!  Anyway, enjoy!
