Scans from the Transformers Generations 2011 Vol 1 book now online

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Scans from the Transformers Generations 2011 Vol 1 book now online.

We have added a new image gallery into the Books section of the resources area of the website containing 40 images from the Transformers: Generations 2011 Vol 1book that was released by Million Publishing.

The book covers figures from the Transformers: Revenge, Transformers: DarkSide Moon, Transformers Animated and Transformers United as well as some new images of the Generation One Rodimus Prime hardcopy that was shown of a few months ago within the page of Hyper Hobby magazine.  The book also includes two interviews, one with TakaraTomy the other with Kabaya, a small section on the Japanese toy leaflets, the final part of the Unite for the Universe comic and a look at the character designs for Transformers Animated.

The book is still for sale and we advise anyone who is interested to pick up a copy from a re-seller or direct from Amazon Japan.

5 TV Magazine articles from 1999 added

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called 5 TV Magazine articles from 1999 added.

The lastest in our huge Japanese Collectors Magazine archiving articles are now available to you on Transformers At The Moon.

You will now find scans of every Transformers toy and image that appeared in the following editions of TV Magazine which was originally published in Japan.

This batch of magazine scans includes high resolution images of the Colouring Competition Beast Wars II toys

1. TV Magazine January 1999 - 71 images (Beast Wars, Beast Wars II, Microman and Burning Convoy, Flash Lio Convoy and Black Lio Convoy toys)

2. TV Magazine March 1999 - 58 images (Beast Wars II, Beast Wars Neo, Microman)

3. TV Magazine April 1999 - 35 images (Beast Wars Neo, Microman, Gold Beast Wars Neo Medallion)

4. TV Magazine May 1999 - 44 images (Beast Wars Neo, Microman, Dinozone)

5. TV Magazine June 1999 - 36 images (Beast WArs Neo, Microman, Dinozone)

The famous Beast Wars II Colouring Competition prizes feature in one of these magazines.  These toys have only previously been seen in low resolution images and no information on them was known, before we picked up these magazines.

The article is a little confussing, as the competition is to win a custom coloured toy based around your winning entry - however the toys shown (those believed to be the prizes) have already been made by Takara to demostrate the idea.  This would indicate that these particular toys were not the Lucky Draw Beast Wars II Coloring Competition Prizes, but are purely mock-ups.  This would explain why they have not made it to the seconds market (eBay, Yahoo Japan or Taobao).

You also have scans of various Beast Wars Neo profile cards, images from Beast Wars Metals, Beast Wars II, Beast Wars II The Movie, Beast Wars Neo along with Microman (from Takara) and Dinozone (from Bandai).
