Shane McCarthy (Mac) presently resides in Perth, Western Australia, officially one of the top ten most furtherest away from everywhere places on the planet.
He is currently employed as a freelance writer, working for the likes of DC and Marvel Comics, and is still in awe at the unyielding enjoyment levels brought about by his 1970’s Atari version of Pong. Amongst other things Shane has worked on BATMAN LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT, DETECTIVE COMICS, DARK X-MEN, STAR WARS and wrote the twelve issue maxi-series TRANSFORMERS: ALL HAIL MEGATRON.
When not delving into the topsy turvy world of comics, Shane can be found teaching and dancing the ‘Lindy Hop’ â€" a 1930s swing dance which involves big pants and throwing women around.

The free membership figure will be Classics Rodimus recolour called Side Burn, based on the Robots In Disguise character. He will apart of the \"Wings of Honor\" series. Thanks to Toy-World Hong Kong we have added a small image gallery of the Transformers pages from this months Figure King magazine. The images include Alternity Skywarp, Masterpiece Rodimus Prime, various new Japanese Transformers Animated releases and more EZ Collection figures. The campaign figures from Famimart stores are once again shown but no further details on this toys are included so its still not entirely certain how you get these toys or how limited they will be.

Again thanks to 4Chan we can bring word from the latest issue of the Transformers collectors club (we\'ll not mirror the images this time you\'ll have to go looking since they are from FP magazine) that the as well as containing the first images of Generations Wreck-gar in both modes, the issue also announced that there will be a Generations G2 Optimus Prime that is based on the popular Lazer-Rod Optimus Prime figure (so expected s RiD Scourge repaint in due course as well as possible e-hobby inspired Ultra Magnus or a recolour based on the unreleased Toxitron) as well as a Generations Legends Trailcutter, basically G1 Trailbreaker under a new name. The issue also confirmed the rumour that the Masterpiece Rodimus Prime figure will be release within the US as Masterpiece Hot Rod (ie without the trailer), which will be dropped due to cost. The toy may come with some more accessories, most likely a targetmaster partner, though it was not confirmed within the magazine

The figure, limtied to 2010 copies, is a recoloured version of the Transformers Armada anda Transformers Energon Unicron toy featuring the Generation One Unicron colour scheme and sporting a recolour Mini-Con.

TheAllspark.com member Sprocket reports that the Otacute website has been updated with details on the Masterpiece Rodimus\' features. Other than the toy changing from Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime he will also contains the magnification visor, Matrix of Leadership, buzzsaw hand, welding torch and twin photon rifles that merge to form the Photon Eliminator.

Following on from their Lucky Draw Transformers Animated Optimus Prime Gold Version, TakaraTomy, Sega and Paramount Pictures are working together to produce the third Transformers Animated Lucky Draw figure (after Gold Prime and Silver Bumblebee) which will be a gold chrome deluÂxe Megatron.

I thought I\'d bring everyone a quick update on two recent Transformers sightings.
First up thanks to Mr Neurie Âfor letting us know that the Power Core Combiner 2-Pack Wave 2 figures are now popping up in Tesco\'s priced at £9.99. You can view an image of the toys on the shelves below.
The 2nd update is from UnitedBot and was posted on the sightings thread of our message board here,which I must confess to often missing (sorry guys), and was of the NEXT 3-pack called \"The Ravage Infiltration\". The set is contains Flak, Rollbar and the Legend Ravage toys and is priced at £26.99.

We have updated our image gallery of the unreleased prototype of Green Warrior Lio Convoy from Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo. The gallery was recently updated with some stills from the Beast Wars II episodes where Lio Convoy and Lion Convoy Jr merge into the Green Warrior but now for the first time you can view a complete image gallery of the toy that is sometimes, wrongly, referred to as a Takara Staff item.
We have also included comparison images with our entire Lio Convoy collection which includes the original release, black, gold, galva, flash, both robot masters and a knock-off. Enjoy
TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Transformers The Valt: The Complete Transformers Universe.
TFW2005.com board member Magnus\' Mate has spotted a new book listing on Amazon UK titled ÂÂThe Transformers Vault: The Complete Transformers Universe. The book is listed as being 160 pages and is written by Pablo Hidalgo. The author has received mix reviews for his work in the past, but the publisher ABRAMS, received lavish praise for their Star Wars book which was also called The Valt.
The book, I expect, will cover a wide spectrum of the Transformers Universe from the toys, to comics, cartoons and merchandise. Obviously there is no way you could cover everything in 160 pages, but it will be worth keeping an eye on
TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Challenge for Cybertron 3-pack confirmed as Asian exclusive.
The Allspark.comres recently received a reply from Hasbro US\'s Public Relations group regarding the US release of the Challenge at Cybertron 3-Pack. The reply they received is one that may not go down well with US fans, UK fans had already been informed that the Rodimus, Galvatron and Cyclonus set would not be released over here.
We’ve confirmed that the item in question is exclusive to the Asia market â€" not the U.S. Sorry for any confusion.
This set was rumored to be a Target Exclusive, but it appears there are no plans to release it within the USA at this time.

I am pleased to announce that I have updated 73 images of our Transformers Animated Lucky Draw Optimus Prime Gold Version into an image gallery that is available both on Transformers At The Moon and Lucky Draw Transformers.com. The toy is officially limited to 1000 pieces, but actually 1104 were made. The gallery contains pictures of the toy in both robot and vehicle modes, comparisons to the original western Battle Damaged Optimus Prime figure as well as a couple of images of the shipping case that TakaraTomy use to send out the cases of these figures.

Our Lucky Draw Transformers Animated Optimus Prime Gold Version has now arrived, complete with TakaraTomy dispatch case. A gallery of the figure will not be added to the website tonight, but if you are a fan of the site on Facebook (www.facebook.com/transformertoys) you can see a couple of preview images right now.
I can tell you that the toy, which was suppose to be limited to 1000 pieces is actually limited to 1104. In our last news update we announced that the figure is packed 12 to the case, well there were 92 sent out by TakaraTomy so where the other 1104 figures were suppose to end up is probably the missing link that explains why so many lucky draw figures appear to be made in larger quantities than their original prize draws intend.

We have added some new galleries containing scans from some of the Japanese Hobby Magazines. The update includes the October issue of TV Boy, the September issue of Hyper Hobby and Figure King (AKA Figure Oh) issue 151 (the September issue).
