Transformers 80.5 news

Newsarama is reporting that rather than directly start on Transformers Issue 81, Simon Furman will be starting with Transformers Issue 80.5 as a way for old fans to remember details long forgotten and for new fans to catch up.

Transformers 81 is due for release in 2012.

Transformers Prime toys release scedule

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Transformers Prime toys release scedule.

News in from TFCon is that the first wave of Transformers Prime toys will be releasd in November and December 2011, following by a full main release in March 2012.

Hasbro also confirmed that the Transformers Dark of the Moon toy line wis set to end a the end of 2011, with all the toys off the shelves by March 2012

Marvel UK were renowned for producing some of the best Transformers comics ever written, thanks to the talents of Simon Furman. One of the most notable stories he produced during the comic\'s incredible 332 issue run was \"Target 2006\" which was set immediately after Transformers: The Movie and Auto Assembly 2011 is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of this landmark comic...

As you know, the convention is running from 12th - 14th August 2011 and usually the Friday night is an informal get-together to get everyone in the relaxed mood for the main convention, with videos and one or two other fun activities. However, this year we are having our first ever Friday night guest panel! Taking to the stage will be Simon Furman and artist Geoff Senior to talk about their work on Target 2006 in a special discussion hosted by IDW artist/writer Nick Roche who worked on the covers for the IDW re-prints of these monumental books!

It will take place on the Friday evening of the convention but, as always, the Friday evening programme is EXCLUSIVELY for those fans who have purchased a weekend pass for the convention! This is going to be a fascinating insight into a remarkable comic book and is something you won\'t want to miss!

It has details and updates on all of competitions taking place over the weekend, information on the charities that we are raising money for this year and a bit of information about Auto Assembly 2012 as well. Auto Assembly 2012 Bookings Are Open!

Auto Assembly 2011 hasn\'t even happened yet but with a move to a new, bigger venue next year there is already an excitement about our NEXT convention for 2012. As many people weren\'t able to join us this year, and many fans wanted to come over from outside of the UK but couldn\'t for one reason or another, we have decided to open bookings for Auto Assembly 2012 NOW so you can all get your tickets early for the European Transformers event of the year...

The convention will be taking place over the weekend of 3rd - 5th August 2012 and will be held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel which is located near Birmingham International Airport, Birmingham, England. As always, the convention will have our usual mix of dealers, guests, workshops, videos, displays, competitions and much more and we will be announcing the first of our THREE voice actors next month at Auto Assembly 2011.

Auto Assembly 2011 Charity Auction Update

Every year Auto Assembly has a charity auction and raffle to raise money for a number of good causes and Auto Assembly 2011 is no exception. This time, it is raising money for three different charities and hopes to beat last year\'s record-breaking £2,200 and we are convinced that our great charity auction will help us to do just that...

We will be holding two charity auctions over the course of the weekend, each one hosted by our guest auctioneers - David Kaye and Gregg Berger - and feature some fantastic items. These include signed photos of Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Shia La Boeuf, Rosie Huntington Whitely, Corey Burton and original Comic artwork from artists such as Casey Coller and IDW artist-of-the-moment, Andrew Griffith!

Transformers RID and MTME comics

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Transformers RID and MTME comics.

IDW revealed that after the Chaos storyline concludes two new ongoing series will emerge: Transformers: Robots in Disguise by John Barber and Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye by James Roberts.

Now artist Andrew Griffith has given us a little more information regarding the creative teams via his blog. Josh Perez will be handling colorist duties on his upcoming post Chaos series Robots in Disguise, and Josh Burcham will be coloring the other post Chaos ongoing series More Than Meets the Eye.

Though you might want to know that Josh Perez will be coloring my upcoming comic Transformers ongoing comic, Robots in Disguise.

And for those of you who don\'t know, Josh Burcham will be coloring the other ongoing, More than Meets the Eye!

US Masterforce, Beast Wars and Japanese Collection release dates

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called US Masterforce, Beast Wars and Japanese Collection release dates.

TV Shows on DVD is reporting that  Masterforce is due to make its US DVD debut on 6 December priced $29.93. Also to debut on 6 December is the delayed Transformers Japanese Collection complete set of Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory, priced at $99.99

Beast Wars the Complete Collection, meanwhile, is scheduled for a release date of November 1st, with a cost of $54.99.

TFCC Sept Issue informatin

The next issue of the TCC Magazine will begin shipping in the next couple of days, but the cover can be seen right now! Click the story thumbnail to see the incredible cover done by Matt Frank (the artist behind this years Hall of Fame Waspinator profile art). In this great scene created just for the TCC Magazine, we can see there is a bit of a disagreement between Beast Wars Waspinator and Animated Waspinator as to whom actually receives the trophy for \"Waspinator\'s\" induction in to the Transformers Hall of Fame!

Gold DOTM toy images and more in Figure King 162

TransformerToys.co.uk has been updated with a new news story called Gold DOTM toy images and more in Figure King 162.

Images from Figure King 162 have appeared (we did a text summary recently).  What we noticed was the images of the Lucky Draw Transformers Dark of the Moon toys, including the previously seen Gold Optimus Prime, Gold Bumblebee and Gold Megatron - noticeable by his absence is Gold Sentinel Prime.
