Hi everyone,

Naturally, we know that many of you are still concerned about events in Birmingham but we wanted to reassure you about what is happening and keep you up to date about what we are doing to ensure the convention continues as smoothly as possible.

First, some of you may have heard that coaches to Birmingham have been cancelled. As far as we have heard, Digbeth Coach Station has been temporarily closed but coaches are being diverted to Edgbaston which is approximately 1 miles outside of the city centre so this will just be a short taxi ride to the convention hotel. As there are still a few days to the convention, we believe that there is still time for the station to re-open.

Secondly, while there were still incidents last night, they were significantly reduced following the increased police presence in the city centre. Last night over 500 police officers were in the centre and did a fantastic job containing the violence and disruptions and keeping this to a minimum.

For those of you coming to the convention this weekend, don\'t forget that we have an active Event Page on Facebook that you can join:- http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=141185125921522 . We are leaving to head off to the convention at noon today but we will still be posting updates throughout the day on Facebook and leading right up to the convention and other attendees will post details of travel share plans and general discussions of incidents that they may find out in relation to the convention. To allay any concerns that you may have regarding part of the content of the convention this year, both David Kaye and David Wise are already in the UK and Gregg Berger is leaving the US today to arrive tomorrow morning so all our guests of honour will be in the UK by tomorrow morning!

Just remember guys... \"Nothing\'s going to stand in our way!\". We\'re very close to setting a NEW European attendance record and with YOUR help, we are determined to make this the BEST convention we have ever held!

People are already looking at making car share or travel share plans, arrangements to travel to hotels together or in groups for those not staying in the convention hotel so we are making every effort to cover ever eventuality this year.
